Public invited to opioid discussion on Sept. 29

Jul 21, 2016

The Tobey Hospital Guild will host a public discussion on opioids at its annual meeting on Sept. 29 in the Rosebrook Event Center.

The talk is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the meeting begins at noon. Community members are invited to attend the event.

Guest speakers for the panel discussion are Dr. David McGinnis, chair of the Tobey Hospital Emergency Department, Wareham Police Chief Kevin Walsh and Jeanne Flynn, mother of the late Brian Flynn. They will speak on the opioid crisis that is affecting the community.

The Tobey Hospital Guild supports the hospital, its not-for-profit subsidiaries, its patients and promotes the health and welfare of the community. The guild also raises money throughout the year by hosting various fundraisers, and runs the hospital gift shop with all proceeds going to Tobey Hospital.
