Rollover closes part of Gibbs Avenue

Police closed a portion of Gibbs Avenue on April 20 in response to a two-car crash that left one vehicle involved on its roof.
The crash, which was reported at 4:48 p.m., occurred at the intersection of Gibbs Avenue and Highland Road. According to Wareham Police, a car pulling put of Highland Road was struck by a vehicle traveling on Gibbs Avenue. The car on Highland was then upended. The man inside reportedly exited the vehicle before emergency crews arrived. He suffered minor injuries, according to emergency broadcasts.
Police said the driver of the upended car was cited for failure to grant right of way.
Gibbs Avenue was reopened at approximately 5:30 p.m.
