BUZZARDS BAY – Ruth Ann “Peggy” (Lowe) Santos, 83, of Buzzards Bay, passed away on Dec. 18, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Harry P. and Alice (Knight) Lowe.

She was born in New Bedford and lived in Wareham, Centerville, and Florida before moving to Buzzards Bay.

Mrs. Santos worked as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart in Wareham and Florida for many years before retiring.

She enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles, word search, reading and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was a member of the West Falmouth Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Ripley and spouse Christopher of Waldorf, MD, Jo-anne M. Longanbach of Onset, Tammy Totman and spouse Michael of Falmouth and Roland Sylvia and spouse Beth of Harrisville, RI; 10 grandchildren, Allison and Thomas Ripley and spouse Mck, John Avilla and spouse Tiffany, Jennifer Sylvia, D.J. DeVitto and spouse Joseph, Katie Longanbach, Michaela Totman, Courtney Lemois, Brooke Smith and spouse Alex, and Benjamin Sylvia; 2 great grandchildren, Tysyn Barboza and Maddyx Sylvia. And many nieces and nephews.

Her services will be private.
