Sandra Besse, 80, of Onset, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Sandra is survived by her husband John Ouellette of Onset, son Craig DeLuca and daughter in law Paige Hinkson of Stowe, VT, daughter Karen Rioux and son in law Tom of Harwich, daughter Lauren Cardin and son in law Jules of Onset.  Mrs. Besse also leaves behind granddaughters Danielle Wentworth and Emma Hinkson and great grandson Cameron Wentworth, as well as brother G. Michael Besse of Onset and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents LeRoy A. Besse and Virginia (Baxter) Besse.

Mrs. Besse was a graduate of Wareham High School and The Katherine Gibbs School.

Mrs. Besse followed in her family’s entrepreneurial footsteps, combining her love of community and business acumen to build a successful real estate agency, Shell Pointe Real Estate in Onset, which quickly became one of the premier real estate agencies in the area.

Whenever asked, Sandi was always honored to serve her community.  She was known for her infectious smile, loving spirit  and commitment to the community through volunteerism.  Recognized as Wareham Woman of the Year, Sandra’s contribution to Onset will be long remembered.  Over the years, she was a member of the Onset Bay Association, Onset Zoning Board, Wareham Finance Committee and Onset Prudential Committee.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 74 High St., Wareham at 10 AM.  Burial will be private.
