Fall River man arrested in connection to Wareham drug trafficking investigation
Wareham police arrested a 39-year-old Fall River man Friday, March 7, on multiple warrants connected to a recent narcotics investigation.
Wareham Police Patrol Division located and arrested Manuel Pina-Agee of Fall River, who had two active arrest warrants, including a state warrant and a U.S. Marshals warrant for violating the conditions of federal probation or parole.
The warrants stem from an ongoing narcotics investigation led by the Wareham Police Criminal Investigation Division. According to police, Pina-Agee was involved in illegal activity while on federal probation.
Police identified Pina-Agee as the alleged supplier to Taylor Fernandes, who was arrested in February. Fernandes was charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine and trafficking heroin, morphine and opium.
Pina-Agee was previously arrested in 2019 on drug trafficking and firearms charges as part of “Operation Gatekeeper,” an investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wareham Police. Pina-Agee was the primary target in that investigation, which also resulted in the arrest of five others.
Pina-Agee’s bail was set at $10,000. He will be arraigned Monday, March 9, in Wareham District Court.
Wareham Police Chief Walter Correia Jr. praised the collaborative efforts that led to the arrest.
“This arrest is the result of the collaborative and relentless efforts of multiple agencies working together,” Correia said in a statement.
