Applications for SouthCoast Community Foundation scholarships for Wareham students are being accepted now through Friday, March 1. 

The application is available online at southcoastcf.org/scholarships.  

The following are available:

$22,000 from the Georgia and Constantine Decas Family Scholarship Fund and $19,000 from the George C. Decas Scholarship Fund. The funds were established to provide scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors residing in the town of Wareham. Awards made from the fund will provide support to recipients over four years, pending successful completion of each consecutive fall academic semester.

$10,000 from the Manuel S. Pina Scholarship Fund, which will help qualified Cape Verdean high school students to attend college, despite financial challenges. Awards will be made over four years to students of Cape Verdean descent from Wareham High School, Old Rochester Regional High School, and New Bedford High School. Awarded based on academic merit, financial need and civic engagement. 

$1,000 from the Sandra L. Castaldo Decas Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating seniors of Wareham High School who will continue their education in the arts.

$1,000 from the Ann M. Pappi Memorial Scholarship Fund, which was established to provide scholarships to students graduating from Wareham High School. Preference is given to students who will be the first in their families to attend college, but this is not required.
