School Committee finds new student representative
Wareham High School junior Noah Wambolt has replaced graduating senior Nicole Russo as student representative on the School Committee.
Of the two students recommended for the position, High School Principal Scott Palladino chose Wambolt, because he “was highly recommended … [and] definitely showed the most interest.”
“Typically, our students are juggling a lot of balls in the air,” Palladino said. “The first thing I do is make sure they understand the commitment. Noah didn’t flinch at that.”
Palladino said Wambolt represents roughly 3,000 students at the Wareham Public Schools.
Wambolt said he is excited for the opportunity, because it is a chance to get the students’ voices heard.
“This is something I can do to help develop myself and the community,” Wambolt said.
