Search of Wareham mobile home leads police to drugs, loaded gun

Three men were arrested on Wednesday, October 24, after Wareham Police found cocaine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded, unregistered handgun in their Silver Lake Mobile Home Park residence.

Neal Morrissette, 26, was arrested after police found the unregistered handgun, two plastic bags containing approximately 10 grams of cocaine, 65 Oxycodone pills, scales, and corner-cut bags in his bedroom, according to police.

Morrissette was charged with possession with a firearm with a defaced serial number, possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of ammunition and possession of mace without a firearms identification card.

Detectives found Oxycodone and Suboxone pills in the bedroom of 23-year-old Jared Sherman, and charged him with possession of such, police said. Sherman was additionally charged with possession of a "Class E" substance — Viagra.

Stephen Morin, 31, was charged with possession of a "Class A" substance after a small amount of heroin was found in his bedroom, according to police.

Police said drug paraphernalia was also found throughout the home.

The men were arraigned in Wareham District Court.
