Serenity V. Tavares, 8 months, of Wareham, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She was the infant daughter of Melanie A. Young, of Wareham, and Ronnie Tavares, of New Bedford.

Serenity was born at Tobey Hospital on February 8, 2010.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Ashley, Darrion, NaQuan, Jamual, Desmond, Essence, Harmony, Ronae and Nashaun; her paternal grandparents, Benjamin H. Tavares, of Rochester, and Bernice A. Timm, of New Bedford; her maternal grandparents, Cheryl Millet and her husband Herbert, of E. Wareham, and Mark Young, of New Bedford; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Tabernacle of Praise, 189 Hathaway St., Wareham at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Tabernacle of Praise.
