Sharon A. Sbordon, 69

Sharon A. Sbordon passed peacefully into eternal life surrounded by her family on June 27, 2020.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, on March 24, 1951, Sharon was a loving daughter, sister and aunt who dedicated all her free time to caring for her parents and being there for her many family members. Her family lovingly referred to her as the family historian since she was the oldest of six and had a special knack for remembering all the details of family events. 

She retired from Chicago Title Insurance Company as Associate Vice President after more than 40 years and moved to her favorite place, Cape Cod, to be closer to her parents and enjoy many days at the beach with her family. She was one of those selfless people who dedicated her life to her parents and family, and lived up to her nickname, Share. She gave of her time to provide all with her caring manner, support and would do anything to make her family feel loved especially through the art of baking and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edna Sbordon.

She is survived by her five siblings, 14 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews: William (Carol) and their children Katherine (Sean) and William III; Carol Bannon (Cliff) and their children Heather (Jeff) Clifford (Heather) Meghan (Aaron) and Derek; David(Teresa) and their children Katie (Mike) and Joseph (Jess);Edna Jean Halbach (Hank) and their children Samantha, Nicholas (Summer), and Sarah; James (Dawn) and their children Caitlin, Emma and Ryan.

There will be a visitation and rosary at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 82 High Street, Wareham MA 02571 at 11 AM. Please adhere to current COVID-19 requirements for face coverings and social distancing.

Internment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Detroit at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 82 High Street, Wareham MA 02571 with the intention of feeding the homeless, a charity with wonderful volunteers that gave Sharon great joy in working with each week. Sharon was also an advocate and supported the Down Syndrome Society of Rhode Island, 100 Washington St. Unit #325, West Warwick, RI 02893
