Wareham residents enjoyed the sights of scarecrows throughout the Halloween season.
The Wareham Village Association had a contest for the display of scarecrows along Main Street in Wareham Village and along Onset Avenue in Onset. The contest ran from Oct. 20 to Oct. 31, but some scarecrows could still be seen heading into November.
A Magic School Bus inspired entry from the Wareham Public School Transportation Department won the Wareham portion of the contest.
“Trick-or-treat was another huge success, and now the Christmas parade is brewing,” said Wareham Village Association president Tracy McGraw. “Our goal is beyond epic.”
