A single-car crash in Wareham ended with severe injuries to the driver.

At approximately 12:55 p.m., a car slid off of Route 195 headed westbound, near mile marker 38, just after the Wareham exit. Police broadcasts indicated that the car skidded into the woods, taking down several trees. They reported that the driver, who was trapped in the car, was semi-conscious and suffering from head injuries, with lacerations to the face and head.

Traffic slowed near the area of the crash. When the driver was freed, he was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
