Sound off on superintendent search

Feb 13, 2013

The Wareham School Committee is asking Wareham parents, community members, and school staff to participate in the process of hiring a replacement for retiring Superintendent Dr. Barry Rabinovitch.

There are two ways to participate.

  1. Take the School Committee's online survey, which describes 33 qualities of a potential superintendent, and mark 10 characteristics that you believe are most important. Click here to access the survey. It will be available until noon on Friday, Feb. 20.
  2. Attend a "community focus group" to share your thoughts on the attributes, experience, and skill set that you would like to see in the next superintendent. A focus group will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Wareham Middle School auditorium.
The School Committee will provide more information regarding other aspects of the search process, including timing and the formation of the candidate screening committee, in the coming weeks.
