Stephen R. Manchester, 62, of West Wareham, died July 2, 2020, at home. He was the husband of Teresa L. (Nevitt) Manchester and the son of the late Mary K. (King) Manchester.

He was born in New Bedford and lived in Wareham for most of his life. He graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Vocational Technical High School in Bourne.

Mr. Manchester worked as an arborist for Barnes Tree Service in Rochester for 40 years.

He enjoyed golfing, all outdoor activities and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Survivors include his wife, Teresa L. (Nevitt) Manchester; 2 daughters, Jami Manchester of Fall River and Shelbi Machado of Wareham; a son, Matthew Manchester of Wareham; 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Cameron, Ryan, Jayden, Cedric, Jr., Adonis and Nyxia; a sister, Linda Manchester of Westport. Also was also an uncle to many nephews and nieces. 

Visiting hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. (appropriate COVID-19 protocol will be observed including the use of face masks, social distancing and wait times in line due to temporary limited capacity).
