Jun 23, 2015

The Onset Summer of Love concert series is bringing free live music back to the Onset bandshell on Wednesday, July 1.

The eighth season of the annual concert series, which takes places at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout the summer, kicks off with a performance by The Dancing Dogs, a funk fusion band from New Bedford.

The concert schedule continues on July 8 with Living Proof, who play a mix of rock, funk and blues; July 15 with Heartbreaker, a Led Zeppelin tribute band fronted by the Summer of Love's very own Kat Jones; July 22 with Groovy Afternoon, a band that pays tribute to the sounds of the late 60s and early 70s; July 29 with Black and White Band, who play swing-blues; Aug. 5 with the Peacheaters, an Allman Brothers tribute band; Aug. 12 Wes James & Friends, who bring a soulful sound with their full 7 piece band; and the finale on Aug. 19 with Studio Two-The Beatles Tribute.

All the concerts are free and at the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell across from the Onset Pier. To make a donation to the Summer of Love, visit the Onset Bay Association donation page.
