WAREHAM – Susan L. Dias, 73, of Wareham died Friday, May 24, 2024 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.

Susan was born in Weymouth, and was the daughter of the late John & Esther (Whiting) Najarian. Raised in Rockland, she graduated from Massasoit Community College and moved to Onset where she summered and met and married Frederick Bumpus. She had her three older children raising them on the beaches and bluffs of Onset. She later married Darrell Dias, had her daughter Amy, and continued her role of mother along the shores of Onset Beach.

Susan filled her life making memories with her children and grandchildren, reading her beloved Nora Roberts books, taking walks until the day she could no longer. Her last years were difficult as her body and mind were slowly ravaged by her disease until she could bear it no longer. Her body has left us but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who called her sister, mother, friend, Nana Sue.

Survivors include her children, Holly King and her husband Jeffrey of Wareham, Frederick Bumpus and his wife Allison of Onset, Jason Bumpus and his wife Shawn of Plymouth, and Amy Hamer and her husband Matthew of Carver; her sister, Carol Najarian of Abington; her brother, John Najarian of Abington; her 11 grandchildren, Jonathan Bumpus and his wife Nina of CA, Jeremy Bumpus of New Bedford, Miya Bissey and her husband Austin of UT, Gunner King, Makalya Bumpus, Syler King, Jordan Bumpus, Ryker King, Alexandra Bumpus, Samantha Bumpus and Jack Hamer; her 8 great grandchildren, Jason, Addison, Jameson, Sage, Eliana, Owen, Ana and Beau and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 7 PM.
