Having lost her husband to the War of 1812, young Keziah Parlow Randall left Rochester to build and operate her own farm in the deep woods of Mattapoisett.
She continued to farm until she passed at age 103.
Randall was well-known throughout Plymouth County and Cape Cod, becoming something of a local celebrity.
