Taste and Sounds of the Atlantic Coast set for Saturday, Sept. 13
The Massachusetts Children’s Relief’s Tastes and Sounds of the Atlantic Coast will be held Saturday, September 13 at Salerno’s in Onset Village.
Businesses and families have donated time, talent, gift cards, and products to create an exquisite dining experience. The 18 "Maine to Miami" dish buffet begins at 6:30 p.m.
Each guest receives a goodie bag and program book with the evening’s recipes. There will be door prizes and free raffles as well as coastal entertainment. The silent auction contains themed items as well as culinary and hand crafted items.
Taste and Sounds of the Atlantic Coast provides continuing support Turning Point Day Resource Center for the Homeless and Nearly Homeless. This year, the event also supports Wareham Public School’s Best Buddies Program.
Tickets are $40 prior to the event, and any remaining tickets are $45 at the door from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For tickets, information and menu, contact Sally Morrison at sammorrision@comcast.net or 508-295-7410. In the past eight years, Massachusetts Children’s Relief’s Taste and Sounds has raised almost $30,000 for Turning Point, as well as supporting the pen pal school’s Hurricane Katrina Kids in Slidell, LA, the Boys and Girls Club, the Onset Youth Center, Guyan Rescue (Hurricane Sandy & Oklahoma tornadoes relief), Best Buddies, and local kids with life-threatening medical challenges.
