Tastes & Sounds of Mexico will benefit Turning Point, Guyon Rescue
MA Children's Relief will host the Taste & Sounds of Mexico on Saturday, September 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Salerno's Seaside Function Hall in Onset.
Tickets cost $35 in advance of the event or $40 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the evening of the event. Proceeds benefit the Turning Point Day Resource Center in Wareham, which assists the homeless and near-homeless, as well as Guyon Rescue, a New York-based organization that assists victims of Hurricane Sandy and the Oklahoma tornados.
The event features an 18-dish, Mexican-themed buffet presented in three courses. Each guest receives a goodie bag, ticket for door prizes, and a program book with the evening's recipes and Mexican culinary and cultural information.
A silent auction with items from Mexico as well as culinary and hand-crafted items will be held.
