Thursday, November 7

Get healing and hope.

St. Patrick’s Church on 82 High St., hosts a healing service on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The service is intended to help those healing from addictions, reconciling relationships, the sick and suffering and those grieving the loss of loved ones. All are welcome. For more information, contact Fr. Rowland at 508-295-2411.

Friday, November 8

Eat lasagna.

The Wesley United Methodist Church on 462 Main St., will be serving a lasagna dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner cost $12 for adults and $6 for children under ten. Call or text Pastor Doran at 508-264-1988 to reserve a spot or buy a ticket at the door. The Thrift Shop will be open during the event.

Meet Ben Franklin.

Ben Franklin impersonator, Robert DeVitis will give a presentation of colonial history from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Wareham High School on 7 Viking Dr. Tickets cost $10 each and can be purchased at the door or by calling Howard Smith at 508-295-4679.

After the presentation, Smith will sell raffle tickets for "Dinner with Ben,” during which three winners and their three guests will enjoy an evening with Ben Franklin impersonator on Saturday, Nov. 9. Contact Smith for raffle tickets.

The event is sponsored by Wareham Minutemen and Militia Companies, Inc.

Saturday, November 9

Eat spaghetti.

The First Congregational Church of Wareham will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. in the Roland Thacher Fellowship Hall on 11 Gibbs Ave. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for children under ten, and are free for kids under the age of five.

The dinner will include a garden salad, spaghetti with homemade meat sauce and parmesan cheese, bread, coffee, iced tea, lemonade, and a brownie a la mode.

Proceeds from the dinner will offset the expenses for the Harvest and Holly fair on Nov. 23. 

The deadline for ticket sales is Nov. 3. Call the church office at 508-295-1630 to reserve tickets.

Meet fellow dog owners.

Wareham Pack Walkers and Scouts School for Puppy Manners will host a craft fair to support Wareham Dog Park Association and local shelters. The event will take place at Stone Path Malt, 11 Kendrick Rd. from 4 to 8 p.m.

Guests will be able to talk to local dog sitters, groomers, treat bakers, photographers, trainers, explore vendors, local dog sitters, and friendly travel destinations as well as participate in raffle and contests.

Attendance is free but donations in the form of money or dog/cat food are greatly encouraged.

Animals will not be allowed at the event.

Monday, November 11

Remember veterans.

The Wareham Veterans Council will hold Veterans Day ceremonies, which will start at 11 a.m. at the Onset Veteran of Foreign Wars Post on 5 Gibbs Ball Park Rad.

Wednesday, November 13

Send some thanks

Onset Bay Association Beautification Committee will host a Gratitude Workshop fundraiser from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

The fundraiser will focus on being thankful for all the life blessings. The event will start with reading and reflection. After, particiaptns will use paint, ink, rubber stamps and stencils to create gratitude cards, which they will be able to take home. 

Refreshments will be served. 

The attendance price is $20 for non-members and $15 for members. All materials will be provided.
