Three arrests made during the snow storm
The old saying crime never sleeps held true on Thursday evening and early Friday morning -- even as a major snow storm crept into Wareham. The Wareham Police Department remained active as temperatures dropped and the snow piled up, making three arrests during the storm, according to Interim Police Chief Kevin Walsh.
One arrest was made for an outstanding warrant.
At the Rosewood Motel, a man was arrested for disordely conduct and disturbing the peace.
There was also one person arrested for being intoxicated.
On top of that, the police also responded to incidents directly related to the storm. The police responded to several alarm calls, four car accidents and calls to assist disabled motorists.
"Citizens of Wareham should feel secure in knowing that WPD officers were patrolling the streets of Wareham throughout the storm, ready and able to respond to any situation," said Walsh.
