Throwing beanbags for a cause
If its between staying home and giving back to the Onset Bay Association, there shouldn't be much of a toss-up.
The first-ever cornhole tournament benefiting the Onset Bay Association will be held at Stone Path Malt on Saturday, April 18 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Check-in begins at 1 p.m., with bags flying at 2 p.m. The event costs $25 per player and is open to players of all skill levels with 50% of entry fees will be paid out as a cash prize, depending on the number of participants.
The tournament will be run as a “Switcholio” format with two rounds of round robin play. Robin play is a tournament format where every team plays against every other team in their group
The finale will lead into a split-bracket double elimination. The event is limited to 100 players, or 50 teams, and is free for spectators.
The tournament is hosted by The Usual Baggers and will include raffle prizes throughout the afternoon. Food will be available for purchase from Minkle Boys Catering.
