The Foundation for Wareham Education will host its "Toast the Teachers" fundraiser at Pipers Restaurant on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The nonprofit assists teachers and students in Wareham Public Schools by awarding small grants that help purchase materials and fund other educational opportunities beyond what teachers' budgets allow.

The evening will feature complimentary wine and sangria, appetizers, and blues and funk music with Fred Clayton.

Reservations may be made by contacting agpeel@comcast.net or rgakidis@ne-cat.org. Tickets cost $30 and will be held at the door. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $35. Teachers can purchase tickets at a discounted price of $20.

Since the Foundation's inception in 2009, grants have been awarded to supplement field trips, biology units, civic "Peace Building" projects, and community service programs.
