Town approves routes for Little League Parade and Walk for Hunger
The Board of Selectmen approved the usage of town roads during their March 6 meeting for two parades that mark the beginning of Spring for Wareham.
The Board first approved the route for the annual Wareham Little League Parade on April 15, 2012, at 12 p.m. The parade starts at Elm Street and goes via Route 28 to the Little League Field on Charge Pond Road.
The Board also approved the usage of town roads for the annual "Wareham Walk for Hunger" on May 6, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. being coordinated by the Church of Good Shepherd and Project Bread.
The parade starts at the Church of Good Shepherd in Wareham Center and goes down Sandwich Road to the Church of the Nazarene along Route 28 before turning onto Depot Street, then turning onto Minot Avenue, and finally back along Main Street to return to the Church of Good Shepherd.
