Trevor Robert Turner, 40
EAST WAREHAM – Trevor Robert Turner, 40, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
Born in Wareham, Trevor was the son of Sandra J. Turner of E. Wareham and Robert W. Turner of Carver. Trevor graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Bourne.
Trevor was a soldier in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and a member of Alpha Battery, 1-101st Field Artillery Unit, where he served for 14 years. He was instrumental in the development of Alpha Battery’s digital firing capability, often making the difference between success and failure. As a testament to his leadership and expertise, Trevor was appointed Chief Fire Direction and Controller, responsible for the safety and accuracy of the unit, while holding the rank of Corporal—two ranks below other soldiers serving in the same position.
While deployed on active duty in Iraq, Trevor was responsible for the operation and overwatch of C-RAM systems in-country. He always looked out for his fellow soldiers, ensuring their safety and well-being above all else.
After his deployment, Trevor worked as Director of Service Operations for Heads-Up Irrigation and also worked for the Town of Bourne.
Trevor loved spending time with his children, especially taking them freshwater fishing and four-wheeling in the woods. He also enjoyed video games and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
Trevor is survived by his two children, Abigail and Devin Turner; his mother, Sandra J. Turner and her husband William of E. Wareham; his father, Robert W. Turner and his wife Carol Heinz of Carver; brother, Nicholas Turner and his wife Tricia; his sister, Jordan Turner; and his nieces, Hayden, Adryanna, Sadie and Isabelle.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services and burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery will be private.
