Don costumes and get bags ready for a family friendly afternoon.

The Ashley Faye Foundation and JKA Memorial Scholarship Foundation will be hosting a trunk or treat Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Dudley Brown VFW at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for ages 12 and under.

Alongside decorated cars and trunks, a costume parade will be held for different age groups with 2 to 4-year-olds, 5 to 7-year-olds and 8 to 12-year-olds.

The VFW is looking for candy donations for the event with drop-off locations at Stop and Shop, Goodlife Nutrition, Stevie's, Onset VFW, Starbucks on Tobey Road, Cup2Cafe, River Junction, A Wareham Florist, The Gateway Tavern and Blur'd Barbershop.
