Turning Point sees spirit of giving
On Dec. 5, Turning Point Wareham announced a $5,000 donation from Southcoast Health to support a Turning Point emergency response program that assists homeless people.
The program, called the Wareham Area Council for the Homeless, moves unsheltered individuals into motels during life-threatening weather events.
This is the third year Turning Point has organized the program.
“As an all volunteer agency, community support is critical to our mission,” said Shirley Santos, Executive Director of Turning Point.
Ali LeBert, Manager of Community Health and Wellness at Southcoast Health, said that they are committed to supporting community partners like Turning Point.
“We are grateful for our community partners like Turning Point, and proud to support them in providing essential services and assistance to those in need,” LeBert said.
