Victor M. "Tito" Soto, 47

Victor M. "Tito" Soto, 47, of Wareham died Friday, Oct. 23 at Tobey Hospital, following a period of declining health. Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he lived in he area for the past 30 years. Tito worked for many years as a fisherman and in local fish houses. He was also a baker before working in construction, and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed spending time with his sons.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne T. "Pokey" Trundy; his mother, Yolanda Herrera, of Ceiba, Puerto Rico; three sons, Damian Trundy Velazquez, Victor D. Soto, and Benicen A. Soto, all of Wareham; two sisters, Edna Martinez and Myra Soto, both of Puerto Rico; a brother, Carlos Martinez, of Orlando, Florida; his goddaughter, Nevaeh Amaro, of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 82 High St. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
