Despite gusty winds that kicked up infield dust throughout the game, the Wareham Vikings traveled to Bourne to defeat Bourne Canalmen on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 6-1. The win brought the Viking's record to 2-1-0 on the season, and it was their second win in a row.
Sophomore Ian Searles was the winning pitcher. Hurling five strikeouts in five innings, he has pitched in both Vikings' victories. He also provided two hits and an RBI from the plate.
The game was postponed from Tuesday due to the bomb scare at Wareham High School.
