Vikings face Coyle & Cassidy March 2 in first round
The Wareham Vikings will have home court advantage when the team faces Coyle & Cassidy in the first round of the state playoffs.
The No. 5 seeded Vikings face off against No. 12 seeded Coyle & Cassidy on March 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wareham High School gymnasium.
The Vikings earned a piece of the South Coast Conference title this year, sharing it with Old Rochester, Apponequet and Bourne. All of the teams ended the regular season with 12-4 conference records after Wareham defeated Old Rochester 77-58 on Feb. 19.
“Players, coaching staff and our fans worked hard this year to bring Wareham basketball back where it should be,” said Head Coach Steve Faniel.
The winner of the first round game is scheduled to play a quarter final game on March 4. The loser will be eliminated from the tournament.
