Vincent P. “Jim” Lecesse, 81
Vincent P. “Jim” Lecesse, 81, of Wareham, formerly of East Cambridge, died peacefully on Oct. 6. He was the husband of Gloria (Grossi) Lecesse and the son of the late Domenic and Lucy (Gigante) Lecesse.
Mr. Lecesse graduated from Rindge Tech High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member and past Commander of the VFW Post 1628 in Bedford.
Mr. Lecesse worked for Raytheon Company for 37 years before retiring.
He was the loving father of James Lecesse and his wife Diane, Sharyn Lecesse and her companion Victor Micarone, Robyn Lecesse and her companion Douglas Reed all of Wareham. He also leaves his loving brothers, Sal Lecesse and his companion, Carol of Woburn, Roy Lecesse and his wife Pam of Wilmington and Charles “Chuck” Lecesse and his wife Judy of Dracut. He was the loving grandfather of James “Jake," Tyler, and Zachary Lecesse; great-grandfather of Julianna Lecesse. He also is survived by his devoted longtime companion, Thelma Webb of Wareham and many wonderful and devoted nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Guy “Bob” Lecesse and Maureen.
His funeral will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
