Walter Russell Ethier, 65, of Wareham formerly of Attleboro, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019.  Walter is the son of Doris Ethier of Attleboro and the late David L. Ethier.

Walter grew up in Attleboro, MA where he enjoyed a lively childhood.  A graduate of Attleboro High School, Walter had a sharp wit and a reputation as a prankster.  He began his career after high school in shipping and construction. Walter was nicknamed “Pout” by his family.  He was an avid fisherman, who loved nothing more than a day spent casting his line on the Cape Cod Canal.

A proud father and grandfather, Walter is survived by his children; Mark Ethier and his wife Donna of CT, Dale Ethier and Rachel Chandler of Wareham and Shanna Sears-Oatley of New Bedford.  He was the grandfather of Mallory Ethier, Audrey Ethier, DJ Ethier and Randi Sears-Oatley. . He was the brother of David Ethier of East Providence and the late Marcia Sherman of Attleboro. Walter is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and fishing buddies
