Wareham digs out after snow storm

A Nor'easter blew through town on Wednesday night dumping nearly eight inches of snow in the Town of Wareham, according to the National Weather Service.

Both the winter storm warning and coastal flood watch advisories have been lifted as of 10 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Weather-related delays and cancellations:

Wareham Public Schools are closed on Thursday.

Town Hall offices will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

The Wareham Zoning Board of Appeals and the School Committee have canceled their meetings for Wednesday night. The School Committee will hold its meeting on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the middle school auditorium.

Tobey Hospital's ICU Skills Day, scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed. A date and time will be announced.

A parking ban for the Town of Wareham is in effect as of 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain in effect until further notice.

Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, located at 6 Rogers Ave., is hosting Nights of Hospitality, to provide shelter for those in need. Nights of Hospitality begins at 7 p.m.
