Wareham family raising funds for Down syndrome awareness on July 6

Jul 4, 2017

A fundraising event for Oliver’s Rockin’ Crew and Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress will be held July 6 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Papa Gino’s, 2899 Cranberry Highway. Proceeds will be used to raise awareness for those living with Down syndrome and to educate the public about the condition.

The event is being spearheaded by Tammy Marot of East Wareham. She is a mother of three children, and her youngest is 16-month-old Oliver who was born with Down syndrome. Oliver’s Rockin’ Crew will be participating in the 7th Annual Buddy Walk By The Sea in Hyannis on July 30. The July 6 fundraiser will help the team reach its $6,000 goal.

Those unable to participate in the Papa Gino’s fundraiser can donate by clicking here.

Oliver’s Rockin’ Crew will earn 20 percent of the sales during that time period Thursday at the Wareham Papa Gino’s. A certificate (see link below) must be submitted when ordering to benefit Oliver’s Rockin’ Crew and is valid on dine-in, carry-out and delivery.
