Wareham Ford donates $4,600 to the Gleason Family YMCA

Every single year, the Gleason Family YMCA conducts an annual fundraising campaign to raise money to keep the program costs down and give financial assistance to local youth, adults and families who need the help.

This year, the Gleason Family YMCA set a goal to reach $150,500 by Dec. 31 and was able to reach this target with the help of Wareham Ford which donated $4,600 as part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR Community campaign on Thursday.

Since the program’s inception in 2007, Drive 4 UR Community campaign has generated more than  $50 million in donations for high schools nationwide and helped ensure that extracurricular activities such as sports and music programs continue in local communities.

“The Y really relies on community partners like Wareham Ford. This is a great partnership and these guys have been awesome to work with,” said Gleason Family YMCA Senior Executive Director Debbie Fringuelli. “They are super professional and just very generous and great.”

While the majority of the donated money will go towards Y's Annual Campaign, some of it will benefit the gym’s swim team.

Although this is Wareham Ford’s first donation to the Gleason Family YMCA, the company has made several donations to the Wareham High School in the past.
