A 47-year-old Wareham man was charged with possession and trafficking of drugs after being involved in a disturbance outside Shenanigan's Bar & Grill on Sunday.

Danye Thomas was involved in a fight with another man at around 10:30 p.m. and was placed into custody because he was intoxicated and had an outstanding arrest warrant, police said.

Thomas was found in possession of approximately 19 grams of cocaine packaged for sale, four Oxycontin pills, 10 Oxycodone pills and $100 cash.

Thomas has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, subsequent offense, and with trafficking cocaine.

Thomas was later checked at Tobey Hospital for injuries sustained during the fight and then returned to Wareham Police Department. He was scheduled to be arraigned on the criminal charges Monday at Wareham District Court.
