Wareham man shot, killed in Providence

A 38-year-old Wareham man was killed after he was shot outside a Providence night club on Sunday, August 26.

Providence Police responded to the Monet Lounge just before 2:30 a.m. and found Jamal Cruz, 38, of Wareham and Rokiem Henley, 36, of Brockton with gunshot wounds, according to police.

The victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Cruz later died. Henley is being treated for a serious gunshot wound to the leg, police said.

Terrel Barros, 23, and Stephen Bodden, 22, both of New Bedford, were arraigned in Providence District Court on Monday.

Barros was charged with murder and numerous weapons charges. He is held without bail, pending a hearing on September 10, according to the Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General.

Bodden was held in lieu of $35,000 bail with surety for carrying an unlicensed pistol, among other charges, the Attorney General's office said.
