Wareham man shot in Plymouth

A Wareham man was airlifted to a Boston hospital Wednesday after being shot in Plymouth, according to Plymouth Police.

According to police reports, two men who were shot at 12:45 a.m. in a driveway on Forest Avenue. One man, a 26-year-old from Wareham, was the more seriously injured, with a gunshot wound to the back of the leg.

The other, a 22-year-old man from Plymouth, was taken to an area hospital with a shoulder wound. According to the Plymouth Police Department, both men have since been treated and released.

The identities of the two men were not released.

The report said police recovered shell casings from a handgun, but would not comment on the kind of weapon used.
