Wareham Police arrest 19 people over 3 days

Between Friday, Aug. 3, and Monday, Aug. 6, Wareham Police arrested 19 people and summoned two others to court, mostly on warrant charges and a couple motor vehicle violations.

On Friday, Aug. 3, at 7:14 p.m., Officers Charles Pillsbury and Justin Silveira arrested Adam Taylor, 34, of East Wareham, for an outstanding warrant. The arrest was made on Main Avenue.

At about 8 p.m., Officers Nate Aronson and Jennifer Braley responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street, where one of the operators allegedly fled the scene. After a brief investigation, Curtis Pires, 62 of Wareham was summoned to court for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Officers Pillsbury and Silveira, arrested Markiese Tomkinson, 21, of Onset, following a disturbance on Bertino Street at approximately 8:45 p.m. Tomkinson was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

At 10:20 p.m.. Officers Pillsbury and Silveira arrested Melissa Ravida, 37 of Wareham at 112 Kristen Lane, as the result of four outstanding arrest warrants.

On Saturday, Aug. 4, at about 8:40 a.m., Officer George Chandler arrested Donald McMullin, 64, of Onset for two counts of violation of a harassment prevention order. The arrest was made on Wareham Avenue.

At 6:45 p.m., Jade Enright, 38, of West Wareham, was arrested by Officer Nate Aronson near the Rosewood Motel for having two outstanding arrest warrants.

At about 8:15 p.m., Officer Nate Aronson arrested Paul Sauta, 36, of Onset on Freshmeadow Drive for two outstanding warrants.

Officers Pillsbury and Silveira arrested, Gary Vilano, 53, and Kenneth Marchi, 66, at the Silver Lake Motel At about 9:10 p.m. Both men had warrants and were staying in different rooms at the motel.

At about 10:40 p.m., Wareham Police received a call about a possible intoxicated driver in the Wendy’s drive-thru on Cranberry Highway. Further reports indicated the vehicle had heavy front end damage. Officer Nate Aronson and Special Officer Madison Burrell located and stopped the vehicle on Cranberry Highway. After an investigation the operator, Angela Ayala, 42, of New Bedford, was transported to Tobey Hospital for evaluation. At the hospital she became unruly and was placed under arrest, police said. She is charged with OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and resisting arrest. It was determined the damage on her car was from an accident last week, police said.

On Sunday, Aug. 5, at about 1 a.m., Special Officer Erik Kanavos summoned Angela Moscaritolo, 56, of Jamaica Plain for disorderly conduct following a disturbance at Tobey Hospital.

At about 7:25 p.m., Wareham Police received a call about an erratic operator in the area of the Kendrick Road and Cranberry Highway. Officer Nate Aronson arrived and observed the suspect vehicle swerving back and forth unable to stay in its lane. Officer Aronson attempted to stop it, however, the vehicle struck another car before stopping. There were no injuries and Officer Aronson arrested Stephen Deegan, 46, of West Wareham, charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.

On Monday, at about 2:15 a.m., Officer Nate Aronson arrested Chloe Gulick, 21, of Lakeville, for operating after suspension and marked lanes violation following a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway.

In addition, eight other people taken into custody over the weekend for incidents which are protected from public disclosure.
