Wareham Police arrested three people on Thursday, Aug. 9, on outstanding warrants, including one who was spotted in a restaurant by an off-duty Middleboro police officer.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Officers George Chandler and Sgt. Steven Soqui arrested Michael Pardi, 27, of Wareham, after receiving a call about a man attempting to return a battery to Walmart. As officers approached the store they saw Pardi walking away. However, he was stopped and placed in custody as there were three active default warrants for his arrest. Police noted Pardi was recently arrested on July 31 for two active warrants at that time.

At about 6:20 p.m., an off-duty Middleboro police officer recognized a woman in Minerva’s Pizza that he knew had two active warrants for her arrest. He contacted Wareham Police with the information and officers responded. Officers Charles Pillsbury and Justin Silveira arrested Ana Matias, 39, of West Wareham for the outstanding warrants.

At about 8 p.m., Nicholas Connolly, 34, of Wareham was arrested by Officer Nate Aronson and Special Officer Eric Kanavos following a traffic stop. Connolly had an active warrant for his arrest.
