Wareham Public Schools to distribute meals Friday, classes canceled

The snowstorm isn't done with Wareham as cleaning efforts are still underway. 

Wareham Public Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 27 as cleanup efforts around town are still underway. In the meantime, as students vaction extended one whole week, the school is offering free meals at select locations. 

There will be one meal per child, and the child must be present at pickup to recieve the meal bag. 

From 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., there will be a pickup at The Woods at Wareham Apartments,  36 Swifts Beach Rd, next to the mailboxes. 

From 11 to 11:30 a.m. there will be a pickup at Wareham Elementary School,  63 Minot Ave, at the east side enterance. 

From noon to 12:30 p.m. there will be a pickup at the public parking lot in Onset, 9 Union Ave, next to the tennis courts.
