Wareham's relocated Ninety Nine celebrates grand opening

May 5, 2016

Diners, cooks and waitstaff have settled into the new Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub at 40 Rosebrook Place following a grand opening celebration on Wednesday.

The restaurant, which shuttered its doors at a previous location on Cranberry Highway last month, re-opened April 26.

“We’re excited to start our next chapter in the other end of town,” said Charlie Noyes, president of the Woburn-based restaurant chain.

Noyes attended the event along with the restaurant’s general managing partner Jay Phillips, Marie Oliva, president and CEO of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce and Selectman Alan Slavin.

Patrons were treated to live music, free appetizers and a chance to win prizes.

The restaurant is the latest addition to an A.D. Makepeace Company development that opened in 2011. The Ninety Nine joins a recently opened Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Saga Fusion, a sushi restaurant, a Cape Cod Five Cents bank branch and the Marriott TownPlace Suites hotel.

The development is located near the I-195 exit and is anchored by the Southcoast Rosebrook Medical Care Facility.

Slavin noted that the Ninety Nine was a welcome addition to the development.

“This place has been busy since it opened,” he said.

On hand for the ribbon cutting were representatives from the Greater New Bedford/Wareham Boys & Girls Club who received a $3,500 donation from the Ninety Nine.

“The Ninety Nine is one of our biggest supporters,” said Ken Fontes, unit director for the Wareham Boys & Girls Club. “This is phenomenal. They help us year round.”

Fontes said the money will be used to help kids afford club memberships and purchase new equipment.

The Ninety Nine is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Monday - Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. for food and the bar is open until 11 p.m.; Friday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. for food and the bar is open until midnight.
