WCTV Live Auction and Entertainment weekend

Apr 5, 2011

Wareham Community Television Live Auction and Entertainment weekend takes place on Friday, May 20 from 6 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday, May 21 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club.

WCTV is working in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Wareham, Gianna’s House, and Onset Bay Association’s Summer of Love Series to bring the community a weekend of lively bidding while showcasing local non-profits, businesses and talent. Once again, Scott Record is our weekend emcee. In addition to Wareham, our event is on air in Marion, Rochester, and parts of Carver. WCTV will stream live, so the event broadcasts far beyond Wareham.

Event partners are now seeking auction items and program book sponsors. Donations and ads receive website and on air acknowledgement relative to donation value. Program book ads are due April 12. Check www.warehamtv.org for donation perks details, donation registration and links to the nonprofit participants.

New this year, WCTV is seeking on air sponsors. Sponsor spots are $200/hour. The business or organization’s script is shared twice in the hour; banner/sign displayed for the evening; product/info display during hour(s); on air interview with our emcee Scott Record (choice; in person, phone); year business membership to WCTV, and on website and TV promos of the event. Larger sponsorship bundles receive additional acknowledgment on WCTV’s website and programming prior to the event.

Also new this year, WCTV is also seeking donations of on air services in the areas of health, beauty, art, consultation, or any service that can be completed in an hour or less. Audience members with winning tickets receive the service during the event. Live updates are conducted with the business and recipient. Phone bidders also have a separate raffle for items each night. For info concerning on air sponsorships or services, contact Sally Morrison at sammorrisoncomcast.net or 774-766-2740.

The station said the event’s program book, auction donations, on air sponsors, entertainment, and service donation supporters can include a “shout out” to charities they support, as well as information about their own organizations. In addition to fund raising for its three non-profit partners, WCTV’s goal is to showcase the area’s charities, businesses, organizations, and talent.
