Have you heard of the Wareham Land Trust? Did you know that the Trust protects almost 700 acres of land in Wareham, the majority of which is open to the public for recreational purposes such as birdwatching, hiking and kayaking and canoeing?

Come to the Wareham Historical Society at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 15 to learn all about what the Wareham Land Trust is, what the Trust does, why it matters and how you can get involved. Learn about all the benefits of conservation and how it impacts you.

Ryan Semple, a member of the Wareham Land Trust Board of Directors and Outreach Chair, will present a PowerPoint detailing the history of this nationally accredited non-profit organization.

The program will be held at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main Street. Admission is free for Wareham Historical Society members, and costs $2 for non-members. Refreshments will be served after the program.

For more information, call Angela Dunham at 508-295-8578.
