William Joseph Stevens, 46, journeyman lineman, Harley Davidson enthusiast
William Joseph Stevens, 46, died unexpectedly Tues. Dec. 7, 2010 at his home in Wareham. He was the husband of Anita (Thatcher) Stevens and devoted father of Forrest Stevens of Wareham.
Born in Brockton, he is the son of Carol Ann (Aseph) Stevens of Brockton and Robert Stevens. He has been a resident of Wareham for 9 years.
Mr. Stevens was a dedicated member of IBEW Local 104 in Walpole for 20 years working as a journeyman lineman. Previously, he was employed by Local 369 UWUA as an overhead troubleshooter for NSTAR.
He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed gardening, animals and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, his mother, his son, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Tues., Dec. 14, 2010 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 AM. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5 – 8 PM.
