IT IS IMPERATIVE TO ATTEND THURSDAY’S PRESENTATION:

“THE MASSACHUSETTS WIND RUSH!”

We are rapidly approaching the tipping point in the debate to industrialize the Cape and Islands, the South Coast and the Berkshires with hundreds of giant 400 ft. to 500 ft. tall wind turbines.

It is critical that all citizens be fully informed about the plans of wind energy developers, proponents, lobbyists and politicians to convert the Cape and Islands into a commercial energy zone.

This Thursday, Oct. 14th, Eleanor Tillinghast will speak at 7 pm at the Cape Cod Community College on “The Massachusetts Wind Rush!”  The presentation is free and open to the public.  The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period.

She will give an overview of the policies and energy profile of Massachusetts and explain how wind power could cause problems on the Cape.

The presentation will take place in Science Lecture Hall A (please use parking lot 7 or 8), Cape Cod Community College, 2240 Iyannough Road (Route 134), W. Barnstable, MA  02668.

Ms. Tillinghast is an environmental advocate and co-founder of GreenBerkshires, Inc.  She is a co-founder and former board member of the Massachusetts League of Environmental Voters, a former board member of the Massachusetts chapter of the Conservation Law Foundation, and has been active in environmental issues throughout Massachusetts.
