The winter storm that blanketed the town with snow on Tuesday caused some hazards on the road. 

Wareham school officials called for a three hour delay to give crews time to clean the streets ahead of school bus pick-ups.

At about 10 a.m., a pickup truck went off the road on Route 25 and into the woods. The driver was trapped inside, and first responders had to use the jaws of life to extricate him from the vehicle.  

Later that day, at about 1:30 p.m., a tree fell across Great Neck Road, briefly blocking the road. Responders from the Wareham Department of Natural Resources quickly cleaned up the mess.
