Worker impaled after 50-foot fall in Rochester
Wareham paramedics offer assistance

A worker at the New Bedford Waste Services complex was injured Saturday morning after falling approximately 50 feet and was impaled on rebar.
Wareham paramedics assisted Rochester firefighters at the scene, located at 48 Cranberry Highway.
According to initial emergency broadcast reports, it took more than 45 minutes to free the victim. The incident was first reported at approximately 8:45 a.m.
A Life Flight helicopter ambulance flew the victim to Rhode Island Hospital trauma center for treatment.
Rochester police are investigating the incident.
