The Wareham Gatemen got to try out their pitchers on Sunday, June 9, during a preseason game against the Newport Gulls.
The Gulls, who are the 2012 New England Collegiate Baseball League champs, came out on top, 7-3.
The Gatemen chose a different pitcher for each of the nine innings during the annual exhibition game. Both teams are still awaiting players who are finishing college seasons.
Opening Day for the Gatemen is Wednesday, June 12, against the Chatham Anglers at 7 p.m. on Spillane Field.
