Hundreds still without power following July 3 storm

Two days after a thunderstorm left 50,000 people without power, over 300 Wareham residents are yet to have their power restored.

Eversource has been restoring power in Wareham since Friday, July 4 but due to extensive tree damage, some repairs have been more complex and only a few houses can get power back at a time, according to Eversource.

Eversource said there is not an estimated time when all power in town will be restored but the company has crews actively working to restore power.

The storm hit Wareham late Thursday, July 3 and left over 70% of the town without power and caused extensive tree and wire damage.
